- Dear Dr. Aaron,
Spring arriving motivated me to get out side and begin getting my garden prepped for an incredible summer. I decided to do a little raking, I got a little carried away and 5 hours later my back started getting stiff, this morning I cannot hardly walk. Do you do same day appointments? All winter I refinish furniture and every spring I garden. My husband fancy’s himself a real comedian- he tells everyone who will listen than I’m a stripper all winter and in the spring I’m the best hoe’r there is. It is a trip to the hospital for the funny guy if he gets a sniffle, but he thinks I am a little dramatic… please help, today…? - Dear Dr. Aaron,
I need your expert advice. I was reading online about decompression, and I am very confused! It sounds very painful and uncomfortable. I see on YouTube fancy Y-strap devices. What is decompression and will it help me? My family has some very creative definitions for decompression, my uncle says decompression is a 12 pack of beer and a fishing pole, my aunt says it’s a long day at the mall shopping, and my brilliant spouse says decompression is a flat tire…. Please help! Feeling compressed in Osage Beach Dear Compressed, I think your family is mostly correct, depending on the context of the conversation! Decompression in context of helping improve your health in our office is done with a gentle adjustment and some time on our decompression table. It is a process rather than an event. Motorized traction that gently stretches the spine. The change in position of the spine take pressure off the spinal disks which are gel-like cushions between the vertebrae. By doing so a bulging/herniated disk may retract, taking pressure off the nerves and other structures of the spine. This in turn will help promote healing. Decompression can treat neck and/or low back and sciatica pain from bulging/herniated disks, degenerative disk disease.” Come in for an appointment and we can see if you are a good decompression candidate. Always here for you, Dr. Aaron P.S. you may see me with a fishing pole decompressing……. Hopefully without a flat tire!

I am at my wit’s end! My husband is borderline anti-social, he claims he doesn’t like anyone. He heard there is a pub crawl and has used it as an excuse to drink every night. He is drinking and keeps wanting me to flash him for beads. I realized those were the beads we grabbed at the kid’s school carnival! I would be excited to attend the Pub Crawl, how can I be sure this isn’t a trick? Last time we had a planned outing he complained about his “back” being out at the last minute. Hoping you can help, I feel the need, the need for beads in Osage Beach Dear Needy Beads, Give your husband a little credit, he seems like he is trying to loosen up and have some fun. Schedule his and her appointments for adjustments to prep for Pub Crawl, and then for immediately after- take the excuses away and have fun!! Always here for you, Dr. Aaron
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
Some people refer to us as a blended family, my husband is an Eagles fan and I love real football so I am a CHIEFS fan. With the big game ahead he has been really giving me grief about my life choices (Chiefs Jerseys) so the only thing a girl can do when feeling attacked is go on the offensive (might be a Jalen Hurts quote) I am looking for ideas to get even without physically hurting him. Your audience seems so authentic, I know they are Chiefs fans! Please Help! Thank you, Married to an Eaglet Dear Eaglet wife, It seems like he must have kept his poor choice of teams a secret prior to marriage? I am glad you are sticking up for yourself!! We are Chiefs fans and don’t discriminate against those who have not matured to our level yet. Be patient! But I LOOK FORWARD TO READING SUGGESTIONS FROM OUR READERS…. Always here for you, Dr. Aaron GO CHIEFS!!!
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
This new year has been unkind to my back! It snowed, rained, sleeted, or whatever you might call it, causing me to need a shovel. On arrival to the home improvement store, I stepped into a slush puddle. I may have let out a feminine scream.. I heard a short bit of laughter followed by another shrill scream and a whole bunch of expletives. I located the source and went to assist the poor fellow who found humor in my misfortune. He immediately apologized and accepted my assistance to get up from his slush puddle. He said he was going to see the Chiropractor in Osage Beach, Dr. Aaron. I asked if Aaron was the first of last name, he didn’t know but said you can fix anything! We laughed for minute or two and made our way in to the store. I went in for a shovel and came out with about 200.00 of stuff I didn’t know I needed. I’m looking forward to my appointment and loved catching up on your advice! Word of mouth is best! Slushbuddy in Osage Beach Dear Slushbuddy, We try our best to provide the best customer service, and love to hear people are referring us. Unfortunate situations bring out the good in some of us, and I am glad no one was seriously injured in your slush fun adventure! Always here for you, Dr. Aaron

I started the year off with a big bang! I made a resolution to get in shape. In my mind I was just a little soft and it would be more of an event than a process. I hit the gym and lifted way too heavy, then the next day I ran about 4 miles, it felt great!! Then Wednesday came and it all started to hurt, like really hurt…. I knew I was a little soft, but my thighs rubbing together caused a hotspot and well… not pleasant to say the least! I think I better get myself right before I start this next round, can you help? Thanks in advance, Thighs are on fire in Eldon Dear Fiery Thighs, I applaud your recognition to get in better shape, remembering it is a process is sometimes difficult. Make an appointment and we will try to help you get set up for success! (spandex Shorts are awesome!) Always here for you, Dr. Aaron
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
I hope the holidays are treating you well! My family gathered at my brother’s beautiful home and had a fantastic time. My mother is sweet as pie, but slightly off in her memory. I am wondering if some of your super fantastic vitamin things might help her? I think it is just her memory, or maybe she is messing with my head? My mother made us tacos for the first time in her life, after claiming to have made them for us all the time as kids!! I would just chalk it up to one of her great tricks, but they tasted kind of familiar…. And delicious! I’m not sure which one of us has “old timers” but I am hoping we both might benefit from the vitamins. Thank you, Too Confused to taco bout’ it Dear Too Confused, Merry Christmas to you! I learned a long, long, time ago to always follow our mother’s lead. If mom makes cinnamon rolls, keep them for yourself and never share, or if she makes taco’s, eat them and don’t taco bout it! Everyone benefits from a good vitamin intake, ask me on your next visit and we will get you remembering all the foods mom use to make!! Always here for you, Dr. Aaron
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and well! It isn’t often I have the nerve to ask for advice when it is me, who has not been wise with decision making. My wife is really into Christmas and all the decorating that goes along with it. Real Christmas trees seem like a good idea, until you go to purchase one. Most consider me to be a bit on the “less of a spender “side of life, my wife calls me a cheapskate. I noticed the high price of trees this year and hatched a brilliant idea. With the permission of a family friend, I took my wife and 3 children (all under the age of 10) on “The Great Christmas Tree Hunt” armed with a small bow saw and some Kleenex for runny noses we drove two hours to the farm. Everyone was in pretty good spirits, singing Christmas songs an arguing over my made-up lyrics, and only stopping for 3 potty breaks. I was basking in the family time and feeling pretty good about myself. As we entered the driveway my wife spotted the perfect tree and became very excited. I made the declaration “Lets go get us that tree!” To my calibrated eye, the tree looked to be about 400 yards from the driveway. Off we went, my calibrated eye might need re-calibrated, or I am way out of shape. About 50 minutes later, “exactly 52 minutes” my nine-year-old time keeper reported, we finally got to the tree. My 4-year-old was in awe of the beauty, my wife was practically crying with joy, I was breathless from carrying a little one and walking more than across the room to get a drink. Without much delay I set to work with my little bow saw and we all yelled the required “TIMBER” as it fell. All was perfect in the world. Happy wife, kids and I saved a couple bucks. Dragging the tree back to the car wasn’t too bad, loading it on top, went okay. But when we got home the story changed. It was much warmer when we got home and everyone was cranky, including me. One of the kids used my gloves as tissue and as I grabbed the tree, I realized it was a little sticky. I got it up off the car and saw the sap all over. I got the tree into the house and set it up, telling my wife I had done my part it was her turn to decorate. I headed to the car wash. 43.00 in chemicals and it still isn’t perfect but better, my neck and back feel like partially frozen chicken gizzards, my insurance does not cover chiropractic, can you help? Thank you, Almost Clark Griswald Dear Almost Clark, It seems like your Christmas adventure was full of memories and those are not replaceable. Good for you and your family for doing family things, we need more of those activities and memories being made. I see patients everyday who are without insurance, while I may not be free like the friends family farm, I am sensitive to our economic climate and feel like I am very reasonable. Looking forward to seeing you and a picture of the tree! Always here for you, Dr. Aaron
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
Are you open during deer season? My wife thinks it is ridiculous for me to sit in the woods in the cold and then complain about my back hurting. My plan is to come in for an adjustment and have Slumberland furniture deliver a nice comfy recliner to my secret deer hunting location. Nice and quiet, comfortable, and my kids gifted me a camo blanket last year!! All a bonus! So, if you are open, I need an appointment! Thank you, Annoyed in Osage Beach Dear Annoyed, I hate to be the one to spoil surprises, and I may be wrong, a delightful lady called yesterday to make an appointment for her dear husband. It seems the poor fellow had been out in the cold and his back was hurting. She was so thoughtful, she said she had just left Slumberland Furniture and they were delivering all new living room furniture and said they would take the old recliner back to the edge of the woods where her husbands “secret” hunting spot is. I think your appointment is at 2.. Always here for you, Dr. Aaron P.S. please stop and see the new office!!
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
My husband and I have a dispute over when your open house is! I think he is just trying to get an extra day hunting and avoid spending quality time with me shopping for shoes. I say it is in the morning on November 8th and he says it’s in the evening on the 10th. Please settle this, momma needs a new pair of shoes! Thank you, Shoeless with clueless in Osage Beach Dear Shoeless, There is good news and not so good news. You are correct, November 8th is the open house, and we are excited to have as many people as possible visit our new office, there is an unwritten code between hunters about priorities. My office will be here when he needs it and him getting a little time in nature may improve his mood and demeanor. Offer a compromise, 2 new pairs of shoes and he gets to have a guilt free day hunting!! Everyone wins! You come to the open house, explain he is hunting, I will give you an extra drawing ticket and “Boom” all is well. I can practically taste the deer jerky now! Always here for you, Dr. Aaron
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
One of our friends makes cinnamon rolls, not ordinary cinnamon rolls, but extra special super delicious cinnamon rolls. I was just getting out of the shower and I heard familiar noises coming from the kitchen. It didn’t take long for me to recognize the sound and smell of warm cinnamon rolls being prepared. I rushed through my morning routine and practically sprinted down the hall to see my beautiful wife stuffing the last delicious bite of buttery cinnamon heaven in her mouth. I looked around and saw the empty tray….. I felt so cheated, defeated and sad! How did she find it? I thought my hiding places were fool proof! She is crafty, sneaky, and just plain mean! I hid it fair and square…… Where do you hide your secret goodies? How can I even begin to forgive her? She said it was the price I had to pay for hiding it from her…. Dr. Aaron Please Help! Without Sweets in Osage Beach Dear Without, Hiding treats from your spouse never has a good ending! Clearly you knew this before your dastardly deed! Talk to her, ask her to request another pan of cinnamon rolls, bring them to me, I shall sample them for taste and keep 1 safe for you! Always here for you, Dr Aaron PS. My mom makes the best cinnamon rolls ever!
- Dear Dr. Aaron,
I love reading your posts! I have a question about a sensitive subject. My husband has gotten so much better since you started treating him, I am not sure how to describe it, he is acting a lot younger. Fashion has never interested him, usually jeans and a sweatshirt, or maybe camouflage. Since his recovery and his new youthful outlook, he has embraced the whole fashion scene. His latest outfit is Argyle jumper. I never in a million years would have thought he would wear something like this, he claims he saw you wearing one very similar in red and white? What are appropriate shoes to be worn with this outfit? I want to keep his self esteem up and if it is good enough for you, it is good enough for everyone! Thank you for your help. Fashionless Camo in Iberia Dear Fashionless, I love a story with a positive outcome! Unfortunately, I am not the fashionista your husband saw… Under Armor shirts or camouflage are my style too. If I was to make a footwear suggestion it would be something with good support and is comfortable. My friends would not be seen with me if I chose to wear a romper. Most prefer camouflage making it harder to see me!! Looking forward to seeing his other fashion choices at his next appointment! Always here for you, Dr. Aaron
